After this special weekend of Open Elite missions (Aug. 3-6) The elite missions will be accecible by ferry ride only from Cavalon and House Zu Heltzer. This usually means you would need to go to the capital city of the Luxon or Kurzick side and spam a request to the publick for a "ferry ride" and if you are a curtious gamer (as I know you all are) you will leave the driver (person who ferries you) a tip.
This can be a hastle and not even a possibility for some members who's character can not get to these cities. So here is the work around that gets everyone there and with out need for time wasted hunting down a ferry and tipping away your gold that you earned in blood and sweat and tear.
First of all you realy need to get the guild or alliance in on going to these elites with you... they are very long (2+hours is normal) and extremely difficult... 2 things you do not want to risk with a PUG. So get a group ready to go and meet in an alliance guild hall. Then:
1. One player goes to Cavalon or Zu Heltzer and requests the ferry ride. (Please leave the ferry driver a tip, we are all respectful players here)
2. That player, once in the mission entry location (party formation area) goes directly to the pre-designated guild hall and has all veturing party members join them via the usual team set up as if going to do GvG, then clicks Leave guild hall in their guild menu.
3. All members of that person's party/team are ported to the deep with out the need to go to Cavalon or Zu first... and no need for tipping Though I suppose you are welcome to tip the member who did the running to get the ferry ride in the first place
This works because when you "leave Guild Hall" (not as a member silly) you will return to the last location your char was at before coming to the GH. And new members can join you and go to the elite locations because they are not Level or quest/mission/story based locations and if we actually were an alliance to hold one of the capital cities... the newer members would have access to the elites anyway.
So who is up for a three hour tour? (hmm, didn't that phrase go horribly wrong some where back in the 80's ) ;D
